NEW HAVEN, Conn., April 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson has offered the following response to the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals decision to uphold Kentucky's Ultrasound Informed Consent Act, which requires abortion doctors to show ultrasound images of a baby to the mother.

"Over the past 10 years, the Knights of Columbus has donated 1,038 ultrasound machines to pro-life pregnancy centers in all 50 U.S. states and internationally. Ultrasound machines provide a window to the womb, allowing a mother to see her developing child and to hear her baby's heartbeat. This technology can be credited for making a difference in the lives of thousands of women and their babies. This initiative is the Knights' greatest humanitarian effort, and we applaud the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals for defending the validity of Kentucky's courageous Ultrasound Informed Consent Act."  -- Carl A. Anderson
