“Personal experience with chemo treatments inspired us to develop our invention. We needed a way to keep a PICC line dry during treatments. We developed a prototype, which worked great,” said the inventors. The SHOWER/COVER PROTECTOR provides a better way to shower with casts, injuries, wounds and medical appliances. It offers protection from water infiltration and infection, and keeps compromised tissues dry. This will, in turn, promote healing and prevent further skin breakdown. This disposable cover is easy to apply and remove. It will ultimately provide peace of mind and convenience to patients and health care practitioners.

The original design was submitted to the Toronto office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
