California-based Inogen Inc., a manufacturer and oxygen therapy equipment and services provider, announced Tuesday it will open a corporate office in Richardson and hire 200 employees in the next 18 months.
Inogen has leased 31,204 square feet of office space at Cardinal Park One at 1125 East Collins Blvd. in Richardson. The firm will move into the building in June.
The company’s headquarters will remain in Santa Barbara, but the Richardson office will facilitate the company’s national growth plans.
Inogen’s employees will provide services such as medical billing, sales, customer support and clinical services. The facility will house part of the company’s manufacturing and distribution operations.
Last year, Mike Rosa and Erica Flores of the Dallas Regional Chamber met Inogen’s executive team in Southern California during a marketing trip.
Inogen chose Richardson because of its central location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and technically skilled workers.
The expansion into North Texas allows Inogen to meet long-term objectives efficiently while maintaining a high-level of service to customers, said CEO Raymond Huggenberger.
Inogen will join other health care companies in Richardson, such as United HealthCare, CVS Caremark, and U.S. Oncology.
Jim Turano of Henry S. Miller Brokerage represented the tenant in the deal. Bryon McCoy and Josh Barnes of Holt Lunsford Commercial represented Cardinal Park.
