Impotence May Signal Severe Heart Disease, Study Says

Heart stress tests showed more than 40 percent of men with erectile dysfunction in a study had significant blockages in heart arteries, researchers said. The study of 221 men ages 23 to 88 sent for the stress tests suggested erectile dysfunction may be a strong predictor of severe heart-artery disease, said investigators, including Parker Ward, director of the cardiology clinic at the University of Chicago Hospitals.
