London, November 21, 2013: Imanova Limited, the Centre for Imaging Sciences in London, is delighted to announce that it has been recognised as a FDG-PET Centre of Excellence by EARL, part of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM). Following a full audit, Imanova fulfilled all the stringent EANM requirements, reflecting the facility’s widely recognised expertise and its continuing commitment to maintaining the highest quality control standards.
According to Imanova CEO Kevin Cox, this is an important milestone as Imanova continues to consolidate its position as a leader in the integration of imaging into clinical trial design both in neurodegeneration, oncology and other disease areas: “This certification ensures that Imanova’s facilities meet the strict quality standards set for PET scanner operations. Our customers can therefore engage with Imanova as a reliable partner for multi-centre trials, confident that trial data is being collected in a standardised manner and that PET scan results can be used in conjunction with those of other EARL accredited sites.”
As part of the accreditation process Imanova is committed to performing regular quality checks, including cross-calibration of the PET scanners and image quality control experiments.

About the EANM and EARL
The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), with its central role in the scientific community and its professional setup, today constitutes the umbrella organisation for nuclear medicine in Europe. In 2006, the EANM launched EANM Research Ltd (EARL) as an initiative to promote multicentre nuclear medicine and research.
EARL was created to:
