Grant Could Help Bring New Medical Devices to Market

LOWELL - A $500,000 grant announced earlier this month will help local entrepreneurs develop new medical devices and bring them to market more quickly, according to local academic and industry officials.The recipient of the grant is the Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center, also known as M2D2, a joint program of UMass Lowell and UMass Medical School in Worcester. The money comes from the John Adams Innovation Institute, the economic development division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, a state agency.
