WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The third day of the 2011 BIO International Convention, the world’s largest biotechnology event taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., puts special focus on food and agriculture biotechnology advancements to combat worldwide hunger and the promise of sector growth throughout emerging regions that are propelling biotechnology to new heights. In addition, a new diabetes forum will showcase the latest research, patient issues and medical trends in diabetes and juvenile diabetes. Hosted by the Biotechnology Industry Organization, the 2011 BIO International Convention is expected to attract more than 15,000 attendees from 48 states and 65 countries.
