SAN DIEGO, CA – September 24, 2012— Genalyte, Inc. today announced that it is hosting a webinar to show participants how they can generate multiplexed autoantibody assay results in a one-step, 15 minute process. Genalyte’s MaverickTM Detection System uses a silicon chip containing arrays of photonic ring sensors that simultaneously analyze multiple antibodies and other proteins from a single small sample. The webinar, Chip-Based Multiplex Autoantibody Detection, is scheduled for September 27 at 1:30–2:30pm EDT/10:30–11:30am PDT. Complimentary registration is available at http://www.genalyte.com/newsevents/webinar/.
The Maverick autoimmune assay panels simultaneously screen for several of the most common antibodies found in autoimmune connective tissue disorders, such as lupus (SLE), Sjogren’s syndrome, and scleroderma. Webinar host Martin Gleeson, PhD, Genalyte’s Vice President of Development and Applications, will discuss:
• Immunoassay applications of the Maverick Detection System for autoimmune researchers
• Overview of the Maverick autoimmune assay panels
• Maverick autoimmune assay validation data.
Dr. Gleeson will use a simulated assay to demonstrate how the Maverick system works and he will take questions from the audience.
The Maverick Detection System and its ENA 4 and ENA 6 Assay Kits are currently commercially available. Assay kits for advanced SLE testing, rheumatoid arthritis, and Type I diabetes are available under the Genalyte Technology Access program. The Maverick system’s one-step approach automates washes, incubations, reagent and other processing steps. Semi-quantitative results are reported for each analyte, eliminating the need for reflex testing. The Maverick platform has a large dynamic range and excellent sensitivity, with outstanding reproducibility.
