Genaera Corporation To Present At The 24th Annual ASRS Meeting

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Genaera Corporation (Nasdaq: GENR - News) will present at the 24th Annual American Society of Retinal Specialists Meeting being held September 9-13, 2006 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. Michael J. Gast, M.D., Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Clinical Research and Development, will present on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 12:50 PM CEST.

The presentation will highlight recent findings, including fellow eye data, from the Company’s Phase II clinical trials with EVIZON(TM) (squalamine lactate) for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Squalamine lactate is a first-in-class, anti-angiogenic small molecule being developed for exudative AMD and oncology.
