Your new doctor could be an artificial intelligent (AI) computer system from Japanese electronics giant Fujitsu – whether or not it will wear a white coat is unknown.
The company has announced a new collaborative project with Kyoto University, and will be led by Professor Yasushi Okuno. The aim is to create an AI system that is capable of both diagnosing a patient and making treatment suggestions. It will be an assistant to medical professionals.
