Designation recognizes products that bring improvements to the health care industry
STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Inc., a leading provider of diagnostic imaging solutions with a comprehensive portfolio of digital radiography (DR) and mammography solutions, announced that its FDR AQRO and FDR D-EVO™ GL Panel have received 2017 Innovative Technology designations from Vizient, Inc., the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the country. The designations were based on direct feedback from hospital clinicians who interacted with the FDR AQRO and FDR D-EVO GL Panel at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange in Denver, Colo. on September 14, 2017.
“We are truly honored that our technology has been selected by Vizient members at an event that promotes clinical excellence and patient care,” said Rob Fabrizio, Director of Strategic Marketing, Digital Radiography and Women’s Health, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “At Fujifilm, it has always been our priority to develop digital radiography solutions that can meet and exceed the technological and patient-care standards that are set by industry leading organizations and physicians.”
The FDR AQRO is a revolutionary mini point-of-care digital X-ray system that combines a high performing and unique infection control design with the sensitivity of Fujifilm's FDR D-EVO II detectors and latest highly refined image processing advancements to generate high resolution images with low patient dose.
The FDR D-EVO GL panel is the world’s first single exposure long-length detector. FDR D-EVO GL enhances the workflow of long-view radiography by capturing the entire image in a single exposure in just a few seconds, reducing the chance for patient motion-induced artifacts and time for the patient to remain still. This new DR imaging is further complemented with the ability to capture its images without a grid utilizing Virtual Grid simulation software, lowering dose up to 50% compared to grid exams.
“Based on feedback from attendees at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange, it was determined both the FDR AQRO and FDR D-EVO™ GL Panel should be recognized with Innovative Technology designations. The designations will be noted in our online member contract catalog. Congratulations to Fujifilm on receiving this status,” said Debbie Archer, director of procurement and Vizient Innovative Technology Program lead.
Vizient represents a diverse membership base that includes academic medical centers, pediatric facilities, community hospitals, integrated health delivery networks and non-acute health care providers and represents more than $100 billion in annual purchasing volume. Through its Innovative Technology Program, Vizient works with member-led councils and task forces to review potentially innovative products. If it is determined that a product is innovative, Vizient may award a contract outside of the competitive bid cycle.
