The FDR AcSelerate represents the next generation of Fujifilm’s 25 years of experience in digital x-ray capture technology featuring the only direct detector for general radiography applications available today. By increasing the thickness of the amorphous selenium layer, the FDR AcSelerate detector provides higher sensitivity and better conversion efficiency with a DQE (detective quantum efficiency) twenty percent better and MTF (modular transfer function). That is roughly twice that of any indirect detector on the market(2), giving clinicians the potential for dose reduction and presenting image quality that is unprecedented among current general radiographic systems.
“Fujifilm has taken our 25 years of experience optimizing images for display, combined it with our dedication to product evolution, and found the best way possible to deliver a DR technology so clinicians can benefit from the highest quality images,” says Tom Briggs, Marketing Manager, DR, Fujifilm Medical Systems USA. “Fujifilm has created the superior FDR AcSelerate system by revolutionizing an existing technology that takes the capabilities of flat panel detectors to the next level.”
The x-ray component of the FDR AcSelerate is a fully automated table and upright system with a lightweight ergonomic design that takes much less effort to use, position and operate than traditional systems. With just the touch of a button, technologists at high volume facilities will benefit from the enhanced productivity and flexibility of the FDR AcSelerate. The system performs nearly any general radiology exam using fully automated features, thus avoiding physical stress and repetitive injury to technologists.
