Last month, the US House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform blasted the FDA for contributing – in a big way – the ongoing shortage of prescription drugs. Instead of ensuring that the nation has a sufficient supply of safe and effective medicines, the committee charged the FDA has overzealously enforced manufacturing regulations that have choked supplies (back story).
