FDA Alerts US To Canadian Recall Of Certain GlaxoSmithKline Asthma Products

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (News - Websites) on Friday alerted U.S. residents to the recent recall of certain GlaxoSmithKline Plc (NYSE:GSK - News) “Diskus” medicines sold in Canada to treat asthma and chronic obstsructive pulmonary disease.The FDA said three products - Ventolin Diskus, Flovent Diskus and Serevent Diskus - were recalled in Canada on Nov. 12 because the products’ drug delivery system may not function properly and may deliver too little of the drug or none at all.
