Event Notice: Aptuit, Inc. SSCI, Inc. to Hold Solid State Chemistry Short Course at the University of Chicago

August 23, 2012 -- SSCI Inc., A Division of Aptuit, will be offering “Pharmaceutical Solids: Essential Knowledge and Advanced Concepts,” a two-day Pharmaceutical Solids Short Course for drug development scientists and related professionals. This event is designed for those who are looking to expand their knowledge of how solid state chemistry supports drug development, helping them to understand the importance of designing stable drug products early in the process. It will also have valuable information for IP attorneys and others concerned with drug development intellectual property.

The two-day course will be held on October 18 and 19 at The Gleacher Center of The University of Chicago, and has been scheduled to coincide with the conclusion of the AAPS Annual Meeting for the convenience of attendees who are drawn to both of these industry events.

Some of the industry’s foremost solid state chemistry scientists are serving as course instructors, including Stephen R. Byrn, Ph.D., a founder of SSCI and one of the world’s preeminent solid state chemists.

The course fee is $1,200 which includes taxes, the cocktail reception, lunch, and beverage and snack breaks for both days as well as study materials such as books and course notes. During the two-day event, at the reception, during breaks and in conjunction with the round table discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with Aptuit’s solid state chemistry experts and gain some free consultation. Should attendees want to schedule a meeting to discuss actual data, Aptuit will arrange for a Confidential Disclosure Agreement to be completed prior to the course.
