MILAN, Italy and VANDALIA, Ohio, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Eurand, a specialty pharmaceutical company, announced today that Mr. John Fraher has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer. In this new position, Mr. Fraher will lead Eurand’s commercial and public relations activities and will report to Mr. Gearoid Faherty, CEO of Eurand.

Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Fraher has been President of Eurand’s North American business since 1999. Previously, he was Vice President of Operations at Eurand’s manufacturing facility in Vandalia, Ohio. He has also worked for Wyeth and Sterling Drug. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biochemistry from University College Dublin, Ireland.
