Epilepsy Therapy Development Project Funds CIMIT’s Innovative NeuroTechnology Program

RESTON, Va. & BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With the advent of new technologies that can detect epileptic seizures within seconds of their onset, William E. Braunlich, President of the Epilepsy Therapy Development Project (Epilepsy TDP), announced today a significant gift to CIMIT’s newly-launched NeuroTechnology Program in support of new epilepsy-related research and development. CIMIT is a Boston-based consortium of teaching hospitals and engineering schools, and the mission of Epilepsy TDP is to advance new therapies for people living with epilepsy. The NeuroTechnology program is under the direction of Steven C. Schachter, MD, Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and epilepsy specialist at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
