BOULDER, Colo. & BEVERLY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enzymatics today launches the Archer Assay Designer, an advanced software platform to design custom primer panels used to generate target-enriched libraries to identify gene fusions by next-generation sequencing. Assay Designer permits the user to search for genes and exons of interest through an intuitive online user interface. Once gene targets and directionality are chosen, gene-specific primers are designed for placement efficiency and optimal coverage of the specified targets. After a design is reviewed and approved by an expert, the custom Archer FusionPlex™ panel may be ordered. Custom FusionPlex panels combine user-chosen primer design with a simple lyophilized workflow, Anchored Multiplex PCR (AMP™) technology and a sequence analysis platform to accurately detect and identify gene fusion events. In addition to Assay Designer, Archer by Enzymatics is offering assay design services for a variety of sequencing applications.
