Echo Therapeutics is axing jobs but others are hiring too! Check it out! (Isn’t it tempting?)

Echo Therapeutics has cut its workforce by 35 percent as part of an effort to reduce operating costs and preserve cash so it can focus its resources on developing its Symphony continuous glucose monitoring system.

Officials at the Philadelphia medical-device company were not immediately available to comment on the job cuts. Echo, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, started the year with 28 employees — which would translate into 10 positions being eliminated.
