It is the first time an arrhythmia monitoring company has addressed the unique workflow, teaching and research responsibilities of academic medical centers.

To lead this initiative, the company has appointed John Elsholz as Vice President of Academic Medicine. Elsholz has worked in the area of cardiac rhythm management for more than 25 years in both academic and industrial settings. After studying atrial fibrillation in cardiovascular research at the University of Utah, Elsholz worked at Beckman and Space Labs in business and product development with medical scientists in various disciplines. Elsholz later served as Vice President of Engineering at Lumedx and as the Global Director of Cardiovascular Information Systems (CVIS) at GE Medical.
Most recently, Elsholz served as Vice President of Product Development at Witt Biomedical before returning to the University of Utah to direct the acquisition and implementation of informatics for the cardiovascular service line.
