Science park leader to talk at UKSPA, Knowledge Exchange meeting & BioIntegrates
Sandwich, UK, March 20 2019 – Dr Martino Picardo, Chairman of Discovery Park, a thriving high-quality science park playing a key role in the South East of England’s life sciences community, will be speaking about his experience in the sector at several conferences over the coming months. Chairman of Discovery Park since June 2018, he is working with CEO Mayer Schreiber to deliver a world-leading campus for start-up, scale-up and international companies. The Park is associated with significant manufacturing expertise, which it will be developing further along with life sciences artificial intelligence and digital activities.
The conferences at which Martino is presenting are UKSPA’s Science Innovation and Collaboration – Future Place, People, Support and Technologies on April 2, the UK SPINE Knowledge Exchange for Healthy Ageing and Affordable Medicines conference on April 16, and Bio Integrates on May 22. In these talks he will focus on how to build clusters of activity, to generate collaborating communities, and to create the right environment to attract high potential companies. Prior to arriving at Discovery Park, Martino was the inaugural CEO of Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst, the UK’s first open innovation campus.
