Nokia CEO Stephen Elop soon will have to make a decision on what the Finnish telecom company will do with its Nokia Siemens joint venture. The Wall Street Journal reported that the joint-venture agreement between Nokia and Germany’s Siemens AG give each partner the freedom to do what each wishes beginning on Wednesday. Siemens said recently that it likely will pull out of the venture, the Journal said. That leaves Elop to decide what will happen to Nokia Siemens, which has operations in Irving. Nokia, too, has operations in Irving and Siemens has operations in Irving and Plano.
