Minneapolis, MN - October 23, 2012 - http://www.testedandproven.com - DDL, leader in medical device package, product & materials testing announced the promotion of Corey Hensel to General Manager, Eric Borchardt to Director of Operations, Jason Simon to Lab Manager, Tamera Presler to Lab Supervisor and Luke Munroe to Project Manager Supervisor. Hensel, with over 15 years experience at DDL previously served as the Director of Operations, Eric Borchardt as Lab Manager, Jason Simon as Lab Supervisor, Tami Presler as Senior Project Manager, Luke Munroe as Senior Project Manager.
“DDL has seen continued growth over the last five years and we’re anticipating that to continue,” DDL President, Patrick Nolan said. “We have made the strategic decision to implement these promotions to help ensure we’re putting the right people in place to facilitate that growth in the future. DDL’s overall goal for putting these promotions in place is to essentially set DDL up for long term success.”
Hensel has been with DDL from the beginning. He started out as an intern 16 years ago. From there Hensel moved to Project Manager, Lab Manager and most recently, Director of Operations. Corey’s extensive experience within DDL made his move to General Manager a natural one. “He has been an incredible asset to DDL’s continued growth through the development of efficient processes and best practices throughout all facets of the company,” Nolan said.
Borchardt, who joined DDL in 2001, was instrumental in setting up the Minneapolis facility. He effectively implemented the current processes, in place today, in a safe and efficient manner. His experience doing this for our Minnesota lab is why we deiced to have him implement this system in our Fountain Valley, CA and Edison, NJ labs.
Simon has been effective in establishing our day to day lab processes through his management of the equipment as well as the staff. “We believe that he can now use the same skill sets in integrating and developing our processes for the Minnesota lab on a larger scale,” Hensel said. Simon joined the DDL team in 2003.
Presler joined DDL in 2007. Her outgoing and dynamic personality made the decision to put her in control of the lab personnel a very easy one. “Presler has a keen ability to communicate with staff on a number of levels,” Hensel said. She also has an extensive background in managing people from her previous work experiences. “She is well respected within the company and we feel her previous experience will help facilitate better communication and more efficient lab practices among our technicians”.
Munroe joined the DDL team in 2005 as a project manager. He has since moved up to Senior Project Manager and now Project Manager Supervisor. “His vast knowledge and experience of our project management practices made it a natural fit for us to put him in this role,” Hensel said. “We think Munroe’s experience working among the project managers will help him take this group to the next level.”
“We’re confident that the promotional opportunities of our internal staff will bring a new perspective and fresh ideas to the company as well as experience,” Nolan said.
DDL takes pride in their commitment to promote within and provide career paths for employees to continue to grow both within the company as well as on a personal level.
“Our ability to continue to develop job paths and promote from within is a strong value of ours,” Tracy Kerber, Human Resource Director, said. “All of our current promotions are long time team members of DDL. We see value in continuing to invest in our own talent.”
