Creative Technology Services Creates a New Operating Company Focused on Mobility

CANTON, Mich., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Creative Technology Services (www.ctsmius.com) announced that it has created a new operating business unit, NEXT Mobility, LLC (www.nextmobilitynow.com) focused on high-end niche mobility products. Next Mobility will speed CTS' growth and diversification.

NEXT Mobility is entering the rehabilitation and durable medical equipment businesses in a very aggressive way. The company is offering an impressive product portfolio featuring power-assist and manual wheelchairs including theBUG(TM), an advanced pediatric tilt-in-space transitional wheelchair, OmegaTrac(R), a high-end patented all-terrain power wheelchair, a tilt-in- space institutional wheelchair, and other power and ultra lightweight wheelchairs.

In particular, one of the products that received a lot of attention at the Medtrade show in Orlando, FL where the company exhibited earlier this month for the first time, is a most innovative wheelchair providing what is referred to as "Transitional Mobility". This design allows this product to be reconfigured as the users mobility needs change. The flexibility of this design allows one chair to go from manual, to power-assist, to a full power wheelchair. NEXT Mobility's "Transitional Mobility" wheelchair is designed around an advanced and integrated "Power-Assist" system referred to as "TAILWIND(TM) and will be commercially available in the spring of 2008.

In addition, NEXT Mobility also offers the SIT KIT(TM), an industry first software-based wheelchair fitting system for dealer and therapists, and the AireRx(TM) patented full line of seating cushions.

"It's not about just making wheelchairs, it's about enhancing the lives of our customers" says Donald A. Leith, Chief Executive Officer of NEXT mobility. Jim Knaub, Vice President of Sales adds: "What is very satisfying is that our customers can buy our products with confidence, as we go beyond the testing requirements mandated by the FDA and international regulatory agencies to assure product reliability and we manufacture all of our products to the highest quality standards.

Creative Technology Services, headquartered in Canton, Michigan, went through a management buyout from well-known automotive supplier MSX International, last year. The extensive experience which it has gained with the manufacturing of Independence Technology's iBOT(R) (a Johnson & Johnson Company) has positioned NEXT Mobility uniquely in the technology-based medical mobility equipment space.
