Missy is MT, PT, ATP, a certified pediatric NDT, who is the former Acting Director of the Physical Therapy Department of Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, where she co-directed the hospital’s seating program for 10-years. She has worked with United Cerebral Palsy Center’s Seating Clinic.

This webinar will focus on defining cerebral palsy, causes, risks factors, classification and description of the different types, as well as specific seating & mobility issues. Classification is based on type, bodily involvement and severity. The Gross Motor Functional Classification Scale will be discussed as a reference for Cerebral Palsy severity and equipment options. Specific clinical manifestations found in each type of cerebral palsy will be explored and seating and mobility options to address these presented. Convaid and R82 products will be emphasized.
