The visit to the headquarters of ClinTec International, on 20 March 2013, formed part of a Glasgow City tour during which several Scottish organizations were visited. Bobby Bal, Senior Director, Corporate Development, ClinTec International shared with the CSC leaders some of the keys factors for ClinTec’s success in building global business and diverse networks. On behalf of HRH Princess Royal, Princess Anne, Common Purpose coordinated all the UK visits by the Commonwealth leadership group. Other prominent Scottish companies visited by the CSC leaders included the Weir Group Plc and Scottish Television (STV). The study visits were specifically targeted at a number of key UK cities and as a second stage the tour will move to India and South Africa, with visits to leading companies in Mumbai and Johannesburg respectively.
Rabinder Buttar, the CEO of ClinTec International, joined HRH Princess Royal, Sadie Docherty, the Lord Provost and Queen’s Leitenaunt for the City of Glasgow, Humza Yousaf, MSP, Minister for External Affairs and International Development, Gordon Matheson, Leader of Glasgow City Council and several other dignitaries for dinner at the Glasgow City Chambers.
During the visit to ClinTec International’s offices, Rabinder Buttar also discussed with the CSC leaders about the nature of the clinical research that the company carries out internationally and the full range of its services and its approach to customers throughout the life science and pharmaceutical sectors. Moreover, the specialist local expertise that ClinTec International has built up and established on the ground in multiple developed and emerging countries in key geographic regions across the globe, was explored in significant depth. Consequently, the range and diversity of the skilled personnel employed by ClinTec International also formed an important focus. Furthermore, the company outlook on future scope for building internationalised networks and its authoritative take on the benefits and challenges implicit in conducting and directing business from its Glasgow hub were also discussed in detail.
