PITTSBURGH, Nov. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- ChemImage Forensics will exhibit its portable Raman instrumentation November 4-5, 2014 at the Northeastern Association of Forensic Scientists (NEAFS) Annual Meeting in Hershey, PA. Scientists from several areas of the forensic field will gather for trainings and discussion on current matters involving laboratory investigation.
At the meeting, ChemImage will feature demonstrations on the portable, dual-band excitation Raman device, Agility. The rugged, condensed design of the Agility permits simplified lab analysis in the field for drug analysis, explosives, and toxic solvents samples. The Agility system is built to be mobile with little to no sample prep, allowing samples to be collected as is, internally or externally, in cuvettes, evidence bags, or on a slide. Booth visitors will be able to see the efficiency of changing laser excitation wavelengths for reduced fluorescence interference, as well as sampling ports for different types of evidence.
