BRANFORD, Conn., Jan. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CAS Medical Systems, Inc. announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given clearance for the Company to market the new Model 750E Series Monitor. Coming just six months after the launch of the 750C Monitor, the new 750E incorporates either 3- or 5-lead ECG with impedance respiration along with the Company’s proprietary MAXNIBP(R) non-invasive blood pressure, a choice of Masimo Corporation SET(R) Pulse Oximetry or Nellcor(R) OxiMax(R) Pulse Oximetry, and Oridion Systems Ltd. Microstream(R) Capnography. The Company plans to launch this product within the first quarter of 2006.
Like the 750C, the 750E features “best-in-class” parameters that make a difference in patient care. The clinically proven Masimo SET Pulse Oximetry offers clinicians solutions to the problems of inaccuracy and false alarms associated with pulse oximetry due to patient motion, low perfusion and other challenging conditions. The Oridion Microstream Capnography provides a complete monitoring solution that can be used throughout patient care in emergency medical care, Emergency Department, ICU, OR, in-hospital transport, and procedural sedation. In addition, CAS’ own MAXNIBP technology has a proven reputation for fast, accurate blood pressure determinations for a range of patients from neonatal through adult under the most challenging situations.
With the addition of the 750E, the Company’s monitoring product line includes a full range of non-invasive measurement parameters for a wide variety of clinical applications, particularly in the areas of outpatient surgery, oral surgery and procedural sedation. “We are very pleased to expand our product line to include the measurement of ECG and impedance respiration”, stated Louis P. Scheps, President and CEO of CAS Medical Systems, Inc. “With the 750E, 750C and our well established 740 vital signs monitor, we can provide high quality, cost effective, extensive patient monitoring solutions to the clinician. We expect that this full line of products, with its advanced, best-in-class technologies, will provide new opportunities for growth and further expansion of our monitoring business.”
