Cardica Inc said the U.S. health regulator has indicated it would need more data on the medical device maker’s tissue cutting and stapling applier, Microcutter, for a marketing approval.
Cardica said it was advised by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that the agency would require clinical data about the staple design used in the planned Microcutter product line as part of the marketing application.
