Campaign Records Reveal Massachusetts Execs from Alnylam and Biogen Support Congressional Candidate Minning

A candidate for an open Florida congressional seat who’s being touted as “the first-ever M.D., Ph.D. and champion of biotechnology” if elected to the seat, met with several biotech leaders last night in Boston.

Dena Minning, a Democrat, submitted papers last July announcing her intention to run for the seat being vacated by Rep. Alan Grayson, a Democrat from Orlando, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

According to federal campaign finance records, several local life sciences executives have already donated more than $10,000 (in total) to Minning’s candidacy.
