Bird Flu Found At Texas Chicken Farm

A strain of bird flu has been found at a chicken farm in northeast Texas and the affected flock has been destroyed, Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. (NYSE:PPC - News), the No. 2 U.S. poultry producer, said on Friday. It said that according to the Texas Animal Health Commission, this indicates the infection may be a low-level avian influenza.
