NEWTOWN, Pa., July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BioClinica®, Inc., a specialty clinical trials services and technology provider today announced that in response to tremendous growth it has made two strategic new hires, one in product development and another in business operations. Joining the eClinical leadership team are Andrew Masters, Senior Vice President of Global Product Development and Technology, and Angelo Stortini, Senior Vice President, Business Operations.

Andrew Masters was most recently vice president of global strategic innovation at PPD where he led new business model development for mobile, data simulation and other technologies including Preclarus award-winning analytics. In his new role, Masters will lead product development and technology services for BioClinica’s eClinical business. “Andrew will help us to evolve our existing product suite and transition to our next generation cloud and patient-centered analytics platform,” Ahmed said. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Masters previously held technology and leadership roles with DHL Express, Avnet, MCI Worldcom, and Lenovo where he led the consolidation and retirement of 9,000 worldwide legacy applications and related business processes. Masters, who has an MBA from Duke University, began his technology career with the U.S. Navy in Naval research.
Angelo Stortini brings 30 years of business operations and professional services organization leadership to his new role at BioClinica. “Angelo will help us to optimize our business operations and processes across all eClinical divisions and provide an operating business infrastructure to grow our product and service lines,” Ahmed said. Most recently Stortini was senior vice president at roundCorner, a cloud CRM provider, and prior to this was senior practice director for Oracle’s global safety practice within the life sciences and healthcare business. Stortini has also held senior management positions with Siebel Systems, IBM, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from LaSalle University and a Juris Doctor from Delaware Law School.
