A specialty packaging and logistics company in the Lehigh Valley is expected to add 258 jobs through an expansion over the next three years, enabled by financial assistance from the state. Yourway Transport, which provides temperature-controlled packaging and transport services to the pharmaceutical, biological, and aerospace industries, will invest more than $11.5 million to renovate and expand its Upper Macungie plant, where it currently employs 25 people, state and local officials said Wednesday. The average annual salary for the jobs created will be $45,818, according to the state. The expansion will enable the company to provide more logistics and delivery support for the bio-pharmaceutical industry. The state is contributing about $2.7 million in financial assistance, including grants, tax credits and low-interest loans to support the expansion.
