Vygon Group Appoints John Yates As Vice-President For Central, Northern And Eastern Europe

He also joins the Group’s executive committee

Ecouen, France, December 16, 2014 – Vygon, the specialist disposable medical devices group, today announces the appointment of Mr. John Yates as vice-president for Central, Northern and Eastern Europe and his appointment to the Group’s executive committee.

Mr Yates will be responsible for the management of the Central, Northern and Eastern Europe region, which extends from Germany to Russia and also includes Greece, Cyprus, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Ireland and the Benelux countries.

His role will cover management and commercial policy in this region of Europe in line with Group strategy. He will represent the subsidiaries and distributors in this area to the Group’s board of directors.

A UK citizen; John has previously worked for Microtek Medical Ltd (1992-1994), before taking the initial role of sales specialist for Baxter Healthcare Corporation (1994-1997). He then rejoined Microtek Medical UK Ltd in 1997, holding the post of national sales manager until 1999.

Mr. Yates later joined Vygon UK as business development manager and was promoted to UK sales manager in 2006. After that, he worked for Applied Medical UK Ltd as its country sales manager until 2012. In November 2012, he became a consultant to Vygon USA before being appointed as interim vice president for this Vygon subsidiary in January 2013.
