January 24, 2011 -- ThinkBright, a leading provider of VoIP communications services announces the launch of their dedicated PBX hosting packages. This allows businesses to take control of their own server and gain enhanced control over their phone systems.
Dedicated PBX Hosting Features The dedicated PBX hosting packages offer advanced features in addition to the regular ThinkBright enterprise phone features. These advanced features include:
- Easy Configuration Interface. Easily accessible from any browser, managers can create extensions, manage call routing, upload hold music, create waiting rooms and ring patterns in seconds with the click of a mouse.
- Unlimited Extensions. With an unlimited amount of extensions, employees can place their service on a hard phone, soft phone, mobile phone (such as an iPhone or Android device) or a standard analog adapter.
- Microsoft Outlook Integration. Use Microsoft Outlook to make calls directly from a contact list with the click of a mouse.
- Choose Any VoIP SIP Or IAX Provider. With our dedicated PBX hosting you don’t even have to use ThinkBright phone service. Feel free to shop around and find any service provider you prefer. Our PBX hosting will integrate seamlessly with whoever you choose.
- Call Monitoring & Recording. With these systems customers can listen to a sales call and coach employees without the caller hearing. They can also record calls to review later to make sure they are providing the best customer service possible.
- Instant After Hours Activation. Time condition, a feature of the regular ThinkBright service, allows users to set up a message that callers will hear if they call when the office is closed. With this capability, users can now enter a code to instantly switch between this and their regular greeting at any time.
- Custom Hold Music. With custom hold music users can upload a music file of their choosing to be played while the caller is on hold.
- Remote Dialing. Users can take their phones anywhere and still be able to make calls like they are in the office. They just plug a VOIP phone into an internet connection or use a soft phone from the computer.
- Easy To Use Graphic Interface. FreePBX is an easy to use GUI (graphical user interface) that controls and manages Asterisk, the world’s most popular open source telephony engine software. FreePBX has been developed and hardened by thousands of volunteers over tens of thousands man hours. FreePBX has been downloaded over 5,000,000 times and estimates over 500,000 active phone systems. If you don’t know about FreePBX, you are probably paying too much for your phone system.
- Operator Panel. A web interface that allows users to see who is on the phone, who they are speaking to, and the ability to transfer calls by dragging and dropping with the mouse.
- Missed Call Notes For Windows. Users get notifications of missed incoming calls on their Windows devices.
- Call Queue Status. Allows users to find out information about incoming calls all with the click of a mouse. They can see how many callers are waiting, how long they’ve been waiting, and how many people have left the queue.
- Fail2Ban Protection. Fail2Ban’s main function is to block selected IP addresses that may belong to hosts that are trying to breach the system’s security. It determines the hosts to be blocked by monitoring log files and bans any host IP that makes too many login attempts or performs any other unwanted action within a time frame defined by the administrator. Fail2ban is typically set up to unban a blocked host within a certain period, so as to not “lock out” any genuine connections that may have been temporarily misconfigured. However, an unban time of several minutes is usually enough to stop a network connection being flooded by malicious connections, as well as reducing the likelihood of a successful dictionary attack.
- Advanced Call Log Interface. VoIP telephone systems (or PBX, PABX) produce a packet of data (a call record) after every phone call the company or office makes through it. These call records contain important information about each call, including whether it was an incoming call, and outgoing call, or another type, such as an internal (extension to extension) call. Call log records contain information about the caller phone and the dialed phone, as well as extra information such as the call duration, the time of the call, and other information, such as which telephone line (trunk) was used to carry the call.
- Call Stats & Reporting. Businesses can analyze call records by comparing call history from one period of time to another. Compare by day, month, year, etc.
- Mobile Integration. Because the dedicated PBX hosting allows unlimited extensions, businesses can assign any of these extensions to the cell phone numbers of employees in the company.
