Styles To Lead Federal Lobbying For America’s Health Insurance Plans

WASHINGTON, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott Styles will soon join America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) as Senior Vice-President of Federal Affairs. Styles, currently with Bergner, Bockorny, Castagnetti & Hawkins, will lead AHIP’s federal lobbying efforts.

“I am delighted that Scott has rejoined our team,” said AHIP President and CEO Karen Ignagni. Prior to his current position at Bergner, Styles had worked for the American Association of Health Plans, one of the predecessor organizations to AHIP.

“Scott has a wealth of experience in issues critical to America’s health insurance plans, and I am confident he will provide our members with the leadership experience we need as we work with the Administration and the Congress on improving health care quality, access and affordability for all Americans,” she said.

Styles worked in the U.S. House of Representatives where he was Chief of Staff to Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX). Previously, Mr. Styles was the Washington Representative for Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 industrial gas, chemical, and energy and environmental systems corporation. From 1990-1993, Mr. Styles served in the first Bush Administration as a legislative advisor for Secretary of State James A. Baker III.

Styles will assume his new duties with America’s Health Insurance Plans effective the end of April.
