Steven Glass, CPA, Named Chief Financial Officer Of The Cleveland Clinic Health System

CLEVELAND, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Steven C. Glass, CPA, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of The Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Clinic Health System. Mr. Glass joined The Cleveland Clinic in April 2002 as the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Glass is responsible for the financial leadership and the fiscal management of The Cleveland Clinic, the Cleveland Clinic East and West Region hospitals, Marymount Hospital, Cleveland Clinic Florida, and all other subsidiaries of the Cleveland Clinic. He will also oversee patient financial services, risk management, treasury, financial planning, tax and compliance, among other areas.

In June 2005, Mr. Glass was named Acting Chief Financial Officer, replacing Michael O’Boyle who became the Chief Operating Officer for The Cleveland Clinic.

For more than 17 years, Mr. Glass has served as a financial manager in the health care sector, including 11 years as an executive. Prior to joining The Cleveland Clinic, he was the Vice-President and Chief Accounting Officer of MedStar Health System, a seven hospital system in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore area.

Mr. Glass is a certified public accountant and member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and American Medical Group Association.
