SP3H Wins the Engineering Prize of the Year for Sustainable Development

Aix-en-Provence and Paris, December 15, 2011 - The start-up SP3H (a leader in the field of fuel profiling1) today announced that it won the Engineering Prize of the Year [prix des Ingénieurs de l’Année], run by the publications “l’Usine Nouvelle”, “Industrie & Technologies” and partners. The company received the award in the « Sustainable Development » category.

SP3H received the “Engineering Prize” in the “sustainable development” category (among the 9 categories in which a prize was given) on the occasion of the prize’s 8th presentation2. The panel rewarded SP3H’s industry and technological developments and more specifically three aspects of sustainable development: economic profitability, community responsibility, and protection of the environment.

SP3H’s R&D team met all of three conditions in the development of SP3H miniaturized optical sensor that measures fuel quality enabling a reduction in CO2 emissions, fuel consumption and pollutant emissions, as well as improving engine reliability and performance.

“SP3H is delighted to see its work on sustainable development technology rewarded with such a prestigious Prize. Sustainable development is an integral element of our company as well as the values to which we adhere. This national award is a recognition of the considerable potential of our team to design the technology of tomorrow”, said Alain Lunati, founder and CEO of SP3H.
