Roy Herberger Elected To MedAire Board Of Directors

TEMPE, Ariz., May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Health and security assistance provider MedAire, Inc. (ASX Code: MDE) today announced that shareholders have appointed the former president of Thunderbird, Roy A. Herberger, Jr. to the company’s Board of Directors. The vote was held at MedAire’s annual shareholders meeting on May 14th in Tempe, Arizona.

“I am extremely pleased with the addition of Mr. Herberger to our board,” said Joan Sullivan Garrett, MedAire president and CEO. “He meets our every criterion, both in his shared long-term vision for MedAire and in his valuable expertise in international business management.”

Mr. Herberger recently retired as President of Thunderbird, the Gavin Graduate School of International Management, a position he has held since 1989. His experience includes research and consultancies with several major Asian corporations. His articles in international business negotiations have appeared in U.S. and international academic and business periodicals. Mr. Herberger has served on numerous councils and committees focused on economic development. He also serves on the advisory board of the Society for Advanced Management Journal. Mr. Herberger earned his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Business from the University of Texas at Austin and his Doctorate in Marketing from the University of Colorado.

In addition to Mr. Herberger, MedAire also elected former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard D. Kerik, Terry D. Giles, and James A.C. MacKenzie to its Board of Directors.
