HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert L. Dawson has joined HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance as executive vice president of their central Pennsylvania operations. He will oversee the company’s provider relations and contracting functions as well as the Sales, Medical Management, and Health Services departments.
Prior to his position at HealthAmerica, Dawson served as the executive director of business development for the University of Miami Medical Group, where he was responsible for the business development activities and revenues for more than 800 physicians and two hospitals. Dawson has more than 20 years of leadership experience in health care and managed care. His experience has touched most aspects of the industry, having served as president or senior executive of health insurers, provider organizations, and technology firms. He is a graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina.
