Dr Alex Blanchard has joined Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL) as Senior Group Leader of Microscopy. RSSL provides a range of analytical services to the global food, drink, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Dr Blanchard will head the section using microscopy techniques for projects in new product development: understanding the link between microstructure and function, trouble shooting and foreign body identification.
Alex was previously Group Analytical and Microbiology Manager at Rentokil Initial. Prior to that he led Procter & Gamble's European Microbiology Department, where he oversaw microbiology risk management for a wide range of personal health care, oral care, skin care, cosmetics, baby and feminine care products. He was also Global Microbiology Leader for Visualisation and Demos using the latest microscopy capabilities.
