WATERTOWN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Acusphere, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACUS) today announced the appointment of Patrick Gallagher as Senior Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Gallagher joins Acusphere with more than 25 years of pharmaceutical and healthcare business development, marketing and sales experience with leading companies, including Mylan Laboratories, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Johnson & Johnson. During this time, Mr. Gallagher has completed transactions totaling approximately $800 million representing a wide variety of structures including in-licensing and out-licensing of product rights, co-promotion agreements, in-licensing of drug delivery technology, manufacturing supply agreements, joint ventures, divestitures and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Gallagher’s primary focus at Acusphere will be to evaluate licensing and partnering opportunities for Imagify™, the Company’s lead product candidate, and the Company’s other product candidates to further expand and fund the Company’s product pipeline.
