BOSTON, OCTOBER 19, 2011 -- The Center for Connected Health, a division of Partners HealthCare, today announced that Susan Lane, RN, MSN, MBA, has joined the staff as corporate manager for technology and operations. In addition to her responsibilities for managing the Center’s research administration, technology and Collaborative Media Services, Susan also oversees the Center’s Consulting Services, which helps companies, providers and other organizations prepare their products and services for integration into the healthcare delivery system.
“Susan is passionate about using technology to improve the quality of life for people with chronic conditions and enhancing the health and wellness of patients. Her clinical background and management experience in the technology industry are a great compliment to our team,” said Joseph C. Kvedar, MD, director, Center for Connected Health. “Susan’s contributions have already made an impact on our overall operations, as well as our service offerings for clients, including advisory services, product evaluations and expert reviews, and feasibility trials.”
Prior to joining the Center, Susan served as president of the Patricia Seybold Group, a Boston-based high-tech research and consulting firm. She also has many years of executive management experience at AT&T, Cognos and Progress Software. Susan is a practicing wellness clinician and has worked in behavioral health at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she also served as a Wellness Coach, and as a researcher at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She holds an MBA from the Simmons College Graduate School of Management, and an MSN and BSN from Boston College.
