PAML Release: Cinch™ Launches At-Home Collection Kit

SPOKANE, Wash., Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PAML, a leading healthcare solutions provider and one of the nation’s top reference laboratories, is launching an At-Home Collection Kit through Cinch, their web-based product line that provides consumers with direct access to a CLIA-certified laboratory.

Cinch’s At-Home Collection Kit enables consumers to collect a blood sample in their own home, eliminating the need to drive to a Patient Service Center. This kit utilizes Dried Blood Spot (DBS) technology, a very easy and affordable collection method for laboratory testing. The consumer pricks their finger, allowing several drops of blood to collect on a specialized filter paper card. Then the card is mailed to PAML for processing. After it is processed, the consumer can view their results securely at gocinch.com.

The DBS technology makes it possible to screen for a number of medical conditions. “PAML continues to utilize cutting-edge scientific and information technology to make laboratory testing more accessible to patients,” stated Shawn Whitcomb, PAML’s Chief Information Officer.
