London, 2 June 2017 - Disruptive thinkers, innovators, commentators and investors will be gathering in London in June at the inaugural PRISM series event to explore how new technologies and blue-sky thinking can support game-changing innovation in healthcare.
Addressing global healthcare needs is one of the Grand Challenges that the world faces, with the human population projected to be nearly ten billion by 2050, and healthcare systems worldwide already stretched by the cost of healthcare delivery to an ageing population.
The PRISM Series aims to unite business leaders from diverse backgrounds to ignite conversation and collaboration in order to deliver innovation in the healthcare and life sciences space. Interdisciplinary collaboration is essential in unleashing a new level of disruption around investment strategies, decision making, visionary science and technology.
The event will cover a range of topics including pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence, cognitive diversity and innovation in healthcare.
The morning session is on Innovation, Health and Medicine and asks how we optimize value creation from innovation. Speakers will challenge the audience and stretch their imagination to ignite new ways of looking at problems in the life sciences space. They include:

- Jackie Hunter CEO, Benevolent AI - Embracing the future to accelerate innovation – pushing the boundaries of AI
- Panel – “Is Technology the Answer to Our Economic Challenges?”
These discussions will be followed by a group of industry practitioners who will seek to connect the dots and continue to interact with audience to create new thinking.
The afternoon session is on Future Success – What Does It Mean and How Do We Get There? and includes the following speakers:

The event has been timed to coincide with the annual European Mediscience Awards, which celebrate successes and achievements across the sector.
Tony Sedgwick, a principle driver behind PRISM, said: “With the challenges we are facing in global healthcare, our goal is to bring a much more diverse group of thinkers to the table. Scientists as well as those from many different fields are needed to rise to the challenge. Cognitive diversity is the key to success.”
The event will take place on 15 June 2017 at the London School of Economics, 54 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London WC2A 3LJ. Attendance is by invitation only and free of charge. To see the full agenda and to request an invitation, please visit www.thePRISMseries.global.
