NeighborCare Acquires UniScripts LTC

BALTIMORE, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NeighborCare, Inc. announced today that it has completed the acquisition of UniScripts, Inc. of Greensburg that operates out of a location in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. UniScripts is a long-term care pharmacy serving skilled living facilities, assisted living facilities and youth homes in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA.

UniScripts currently generates revenue of approximately $8 million on an annualized basis and serves approximately 1,500 beds. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
