National Oncology Alliance Names Bret Brodowy Vice President Of Provider Solutions

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Oncology Alliance (NOA), a member-based specialty oncology GPO wholly owned by Broadlane, has appointed Bret Brodowy, Pharm.D., to the post of vice president, provider solutions. Brodowy is based in the company's San Rafael, Calif. office and reports to Kevin Rodondi, NOA's general manager.

Brodowy will head NOA's technology product and service offerings, including automated drug inventory control systems. He will work to ensure NOA's current and future technology offerings enhance practice economics and improve the quality of care provided, while allowing the community oncologist to remain independent.

"Bret's extensive experience in pharmaceuticals and information technology will enhance NOA's ability to work with important constituencies," said Rodondi. "As our industry faces many changes, such as reimbursement challenges, it is increasingly important for growing organizations like NOA to have an experienced executive in this critical role."

Prior to joining NOA, Brodowy was director of pharmacy at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, Calif.; pharmacy product line director for Misys Healthcare Systems in Raleigh, N.C.; vice president of customer support and systems for First Data Bank, a Hearst Corporation; and, vice president of automated technologies and business development for Oncology Therapeutics Network in San Francisco.

Brodowy earned a doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is an associate clinical professor at UCSF and is currently past-president of the UCSF Pharmacy Alumni Association.
