Misys Healthcare Systems Selects Sprint For Wireless, Wireline Services

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint today announced a multiyear communications agreement with Misys Healthcare Systems, one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare information-technology (IT) systems and services. Under the agreement, Sprint will deploy nationwide data, wireless, wireline-voice, audio-conferencing and Internet Protocol (IP) services.

Misys Healthcare Systems develops and supports reliable, easy-to-use clinical software and services that enable physicians and caregivers to more easily manage the complexities of healthcare.

The agreement with Sprint will provide complete, reliable, single-provider communications services to support Misys Healthcare Systems and its client software installations. Eventually Misys plans to extend Sprint's data and wireless network to provide a greater level of support to its client base of more than 92,000 physicians, 1,200 hospitals and 600 home-care providers.
