PLEASANTON, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Microchip Biotechnologies, a maker of automated microscale biotech laboratory systems, today announced that it has changed its business name to IntegenX. The new name articulates the company’s focus on integrating sample preparation and analysis technologies into complete products that address generic problems shared by life science and biotechnology research laboratories worldwide.
“Many scientists no longer have the time or the necessary experience to integrate reagent kits, columns, beads, mixers, detectors, incompatible protocols, and instruments that don’t communicate with each other,” said Stevan Jovanovich, PhD and chief executive officer at IntegenX. “We re-design, miniaturize, and integrate these fragmented workflow elements into automated systems that produce predictable, high-quality molecular biology output. With IntegenX systems, lab workers, researchers, forensic scientists and lab clinicians no longer need to become sample preparation technology specialists in order to analyze genetic material productively and efficiently,” he added.
