With the nation’s health care spending spiraling to $2 trillion annually -- more than 15 percent of the gross domestic product -- the annual premium for employer-sponsored coverage is expected to reach $12,500 per family in 2005 with an additional $2,713 paid out of the average worker’s pocket.

Thursday, Oct. 27 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Hyatt Regency, Irvine, leading Los Angeles and Orange County business, health care and political experts will meet with 100 top business leaders for an open dialogue about the costs of health care and to formulate ideas for actions that make a difference in the marketplace.
